Dr. Tim Brown is the Chair of English and Speech Communication at Riverside City College in Riverside, California. He has been teaching part-time in the Reading Department at California State University, Fullerton since 2000. Dr. Brown co-authored the just released My Reading Lab available from Pearson Allyn-Bacon, Longman, and Prentice Hall. Dr. Brown previously authored the Prentice Hall Textbook Reader and is currently working on the second edition. He also developed the companion website for Prentice Hall’s Reading With Meaning: Strategies for College Reading 6th Ed. by Dorothy Hennings. Dr. Brown was one of the first to develop a basic skills class in reading for on-line delivery in the California Community College system.
